A State-Wide Public Outreach Program Teaching Children About Native Arizona Fish
From 2008-2011, Marsh & Associates, LLC, presented a free, state-wide, on-site, exciting native Arizona fish public outreach program, Sharing Tails, at public elementary schools. We traveled the state teaching kindergarten through second grade students about our native fish, reaching about 33,000 students and exceeding our goal of 30,000 students. For more about our program, please read our article published in Applied Environmental Education & Communication, Volume 12, Issue 4, pages 254-260.
After 2011, we created Marsh Education in 2013, a not-for-profit 501(c)3 branch of our parent company, Marsh & Associates, LLC. Since its founding in 2008 the Native Fish Lab at Marsh & Associates, LLC has been a leader in native Arizona fish work. It had been a unit within the Department of Life Sciences at Arizona State University since 1980.
